微笑列车（美国）基金会北京代表处：
惊悉微笑列车基金会创始人，著名华人企业家、慈善家王嘉廉先生不幸病逝，我们深感悲痛和惋惜，希望通过你们向王嘉廉先生家属转达中华口腔医学会全体同仁，中国广大唇腭裂患者和家属，以及全体唇腭裂治疗领域的业界人士对王先生不幸辞世的最深切哀悼，并向家属致以诚挚的慰问。
王嘉廉先生是美国最为杰出的华人企业家，成功之后积极回报社会。投入巨资创办了“微笑列车”等多个慈善公益组织，目前微笑列车基金会已在全球84个国家免费资助超过了100万唇腭裂患者手术治疗。该项目自1999年进入中国以来，秉持“授人以渔”的理念，设立了300余家微笑列车唇腭裂慈善修复项目医院，免费资助了40余万唇腭裂患这手术资料，同时组织了11次全国性唇腭裂学术会议和20多个区域唇腭裂治疗培训班，培养了一大批唇腭裂治疗业务骨干，为中国唇腭裂治疗水平的提高做出了巨大贡献。微笑列车项目目前已成为在中国持续运行时间最久、受益人群患者最多、投入资金最大的慈善公益项目，该项目的成功运行，离不开王嘉廉先生的关怀和重视。近20年来，王嘉廉先生多次来到中国，走访项目医院和患者家庭，亲临会议现场，与我们深入交流和广泛讨论，探讨微笑列车中国项目的创新运行。他的严谨作风，高尚品格和巨大的人格魅力收到业界人士的广泛敬仰。
他的逝世是中国慈善事业的重大损失。我们为失去这样一位朋友深感惋惜，我们沉痛悼念并深切缅怀王嘉廉先生！

We are deeply saddened and sorry to learn that Mr. Charles B. Wang, the founder of the smile Train Foundation, a famous Chinese entrepreneur and philanthropist, has died of illness. We wish to convey to Mr. Charles B. Wang’s family through you the deepest condolences of all members of the Chinese Stomatological Association, the vast number of Chinese patients with cleft lip and palate and their families, as well as all medical workers in the field of oral clefts treatment for Mr. Wang’s tragic death. We would like to extend our sincere condolences to his family.
Mr Charles B. Wang is one of the most prominent Chinese entrepreneurs in the United States. After the great success of business, he has been repaying the society positively. He invested a lot of money to set up ” The Smile Train Foundation” and other charitable organizations. The smile Train Foundation has funded more than 1 million patients with cleft lip and palate to accept free surgery in 84 countries. Since its entry into China in 1999 with the idea of “teaching people to fish”, the project has set up more than 300 designated cooperative hospitals to perform clefts surgery and speech therapy. And more than 400,000 cleft patients have been founded to be treated free of charge. At the same time, 11 national academic conferences on cleft lip and palate treatment and over 20 regional training courses have been organized, a large number of medical professionals in the field of oral clefts treatment has been trained, which has made great contribution to the improvement of Chinese cleft lip and palate treatment level. The smile train project has become a charitable public welfare project with the longest running time, the largest number of patients and the largest investment in funds in China. The successful operation of the project can not be separated from the care and attention of Mr. Charles B. Wang. Over the past 20 years, Mr. Charles B. Wang has come to China many times, visited project hospitals and patient families, visited the conference site, and discussed the innovative operation of the smile train project in China. His rigorous style, noble character and great personality charm are widely admired by people in the industry. His death was a great loss to China’s philanthropy. We deeply regret the loss of such a friend, we mourn and remember Mr. Charles B. Wang.
